Ordo Embraces Equity

International Women's Day

International Women’s Day is a great reminder of what women can achieve, especially when we have inspiring female role models to follow. Where would we be without the mothers, grandmothers, sisters, friends and teachers who have led us to this point?

Elevating, celebrating and amplifying the visibility and achievements of women in the workplace is more important than ever. Talking about it and doing something about it are 2 very different things. Equity is a fundamental value at Ordo, we don’t just want to tick a momentary tick box. We want to make a difference every day.

Our Team

At Ordo, we believe that equity is a must-have. Women comprise nearly 50% of our team and add value across the full scope of the business, being represented in every department of our office - creative, marketing and sales. The manufacturing industry has historically been dominated by men, and women have often been excluded from leadership positions. At Ordo, we are committed to breaking down these barriers and creating opportunities for women to succeed in our industry, that’s why 30% of women in the business are in SLT. We firmly believe that the diversity in our workplace leads to better decision making, increased creativity and better outcomes for our customers.

Ensuring working environments allow women to thrive in their career, and are supported and respected as individuals, is critical for any business that wants to succeed. Diversity within the workplace allows your team to benefit from a wide range of viewpoints and approaches that come from people having lived through different life experiences. As a young business, Ordo recognises that individuals have different needs and allocates the right resources and opportunities for us to achieve an equal outcome. #EmbraceEquity

“When we first started Ordo in 2019, I wanted to make sure that we had the best talent. It just so happens that nearly 50% of our team, from leadership through to operations, are women. When people say to embrace equity, we believe we have already embraced it… but there is always more that can be done, including educating other external companies” said Barty Walsh, CEO of Ordo.
